Makrolon® 2258

Makrolon® 2258 by Covestro is a low viscosity polycarbonate (PC) grade. It is suitable for ethylene oxide and steam sterilization. Exhibits easy release, high heat resistance, good toughness, good dimensional stability, high creep modulus and good electrical insulation properties.
  • Possesses good transparency, high impact strength, chemical- and hydrolysis resistance.
  • Provides durability, efficient reusability and energy and carbon dioxide emission savings.
  • Suitable for processing by injection molding.
  • Makrolon® 2258 is recommended for medical devices.
  • It is biocompatible according to ISO 10993-1 test requirements.
