Makrolon® 2558 by Covestro is a biocompatible, medium-viscosity polycarbonate (PC) grade. Suitable for ethylene oxide and steam sterilization.
  • Exhibits good toughness, dimensional stability, high creep modulus, easy release and good electrical insulation.
  • Provides good transparency, high impact strength, high heat-, good chemical- and hydrolysis resistance.
  • Offers good durability, efficient reusability, energy and carbon dioxide emission saving benefits.
  • It is processed by injection molding.
  • Makrolon® 2558 is recommended for medical devices applications.
