EcoPaXX® Q-HG10

EcoPaXX® Q-HG10 is a heat-stabilized, 50% glass fiber-reinforced, PA4-10 by DSM based on castor oil that is particularly suitable for use in high-tech applications due to its low moisture absorption and excellent mechanical properties. It is less damaging to the environment and has the potential to be completely green. EcoPaXX® Q-HG10 has the usual mechanical properties, but it combines this with low moisture absorption, a high melting point of about 250°C (the highest of all biological nylons), and a high rate of crystallization (faster and more efficient production). Possesses stiffness (highest among all long-chain polyamides) and toughness, especially against bending. It is also resistant to chemicals and hydrolysis. It is used in charge air cooler caps and crankshaft covers of automotives.
