ELVAX™ 3174

ELVAX™ 3174 by Dow is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 18%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. It shows low-temperature heat sealing, flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. Designed for coating & cast film extrusion and lamination methods for processing of polyethylene resins. Cast film of the grade is adhesive laminated to polyester and other substrates. ELVAX™ 3174 is recommended for non-peelable sealant & flexible packaging applications. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
