ELVAX™ 3174SHB

ELVAX™ 3174SHB by Dow is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 18%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer and slip and antiblocking additives. It shows low-temperature heat sealing, flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. Designed for coating and cast film extrusion methods for processing of polyethylene resins. Cast film of the grade is adhesive laminated to polyester and other substrates. ELVAX™ 3174SHB is recommended for non-peelable sealant, flexible packaging, adhesive lamination, adhesives, caps and closur. It can be used in medical, pharmaceuticals, tie-layer and food applications. It can function as a cap liner resin for carbonated soft drink metallic crowns.
