ELVAX™ 40L-03

ELVAX™ 40L-03 by Dow is a high molecular weight ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 40%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. It is a crystalline and free flowing grade, possessing low amounts of gel and high viscosity. It exhibits flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It can be processed by injection molding, compounding, sheet & shape extrusion, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. It can also be processed using conventional rubber processing techniques such as Banbury, two-roll milling and compression molding. Products made from ELVAX™ 40L-03 shows smooth, glossy surfaces, enhanced long-term performance, resistance to mechanical damage and elevated temperatures. Recommended for sealants, wire jacketing for automotive ignition & low-smoke cables and as strippable semi-conductive shields for power cables and industrial uses. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(d).
