ELVAX™ 470A

ELVAX™ 470A by Dow is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 18%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. Exhibits flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It can be processed by injection molding, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. ELVAX™ 470A is recommended for industrial applications. It can be used as semi-conductor shields and in insulation & jacketing of type GXL automotive primary wire and in UL and CSA-listed (150°C) motor lead wire. Compounds based on these resins are UL-listed (125°C) for appliance wire insulation. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
