ELVAX™ 560

ELVAX™ 560 by Dow is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 15%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant as a thermal stabilizer. It provides flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It offers flexibility, resilience and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). It is lightweight, favorable value-in-use and economics. It can be processed by injection molding, compounding, sheet & shape extrusion, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. It can also be processed using conventional rubber processing techniques such as Banbury, two-roll milling and compression molding. ELVAX™ 560 is recommended for sealants and industrial applications. It can be used as semi-conductor shields and in insulation & jacketing of type GXL automotive primary wire and in UL and CSA-listed (150°C) motor lead wire. Compounds based on these resins are UL-listed (125°C) for appliance wire insulation. Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
