ELVAX™ 650Q

ELVAX™ 650Q by Dow is an ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) copolymer grade, filled with 12%wt vinyl acetate comonomer content. It contains high level of butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) antioxidant, used as a thermal stabilizer. It shows flex crack resistance, excellent clarity, cling, impact- and puncture resistance. It imparts flexibility, resilience and environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR). It is lightweight, favorable value-in-use and economics. It can be processed by injection molding, compounding, sheet & shape extrusion, structural foam molding, blow molding and wire coating. It can also be processed using conventional rubber processing techniques such as Banbury, two-roll milling and compression molding. ELVAX™ 650Q is recommended for sealants and industrial applications. It can be used as semi-conductor shields and in primary insulation, type XHHW building wire (90°C). Complies with Food and Drug Administration Regulation 21 CFR 177.1350(a)(1).
