Eastar™ Copolyester 5011

Eastar™ Copolyester 5011 by Eastman is a glycol modified polyethylene terephthalate (PETG). The modification is made by adding a second glycol, cyclohexanedimethanol (CHDM) during the polymerization stages in proper proportion to produce an amorphous polymer. It is converted using injection molding. Used in building materials, compounders, electronic & jars-skin care packaging, non-food contact large appliances, non-kitchen appliances. Designed for packaging applications in component films, care bottles and personal care. Also used in sporting equipment, strapping, transaction cards, windows and window housings. Eastar™ Copolyester 5011 is GREENGUARD INDOOR AIR QUALITY CERTIFIED® and complies with REACH Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
