Eastman™ AP005 Copolyester

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Eastman
Eastman™ AP005 Copolyester by Eastman is a non-halogenated copolyester ether grade. It combines the strength of plastics, the flexibility of elastomers, and the processability of thermoplastics. It possesses high toughness, clarity and flexibility without the addition of plasticizers. It provides puncture-, heat-, chemical and oil resistance along with high temperature dimensional stability. It has excellent processability and provides high energy absorption. It is solvent bondable and melt bondable to a variety of substrates, including PVC. It is compatible with a wide range of polymers such as styrenic block copolymers and thus can be used for both alloys and as additives/modifiers to improve performance properties. Eastman™ AP005 Copolyester can be used in injection molding and film or tubing extrusion applications that demand strength, durability, chemical resistance, and puncture resistance in harsh environments. Its uses are in automotive components, breathable films, electrical/electronic components, film modification, flexible hinges, hose mandrel, industrial components or hoses/belts, office furniture, packaging, polymer modification, profiles, rubber and plastic modification, sporting goods, thermoplastic elastomer compounds and tubing.
