EcoStar® HB 4001

EcoStar® HB 4001 by Placon is a unique, multi-layer sheet polyethylene terephthalate (PET) grade. Once this multi-layer material is thermoformed, an instant barrier is created. Possesses excellent clarity, sealing properties and 100 times better oxygen barrier than APET grades. The proprietary blend of active and passive layers provides extended shelf life of perishable foods to reduce spoilage and consistent layer thickness for a better oxygen barrier compared to EVOH type passive layers. HB 4000 PET can be recycled with no negative impact on the recycling stream. Used in packaging of meats, poultry, seafood, cheese, produce and processed meats, in form, fill and seal applications. EcoStar® HB 4001 complies with FDA.
