TECAPEEK® Polyetheretherketone

TECAPEEK® Polyetheretherketone by Ensinger is a unique, semi-crystalline, high temperature PEEK (polyetheretherketone) grade. It is made exclusively from Victrex® resin. Exhibits excellent chemical-, abrasion-, thermal-, radiation (gamma)- and hydrolysis (boiling water & superheated steam) resistance. Also exhibits excellent mechanical properties, electrical insulation, good heat deflection temperature, good machinability, very good slide & wear properties, excellent impact characteristics, very high continuous working temperature and superior dielectric at high temperatures & frequencies. Retains flexural and tensile properties at very high temperatures in excess of 250°C (482°F). Insoluble in all common solvents. TECAPEEK® Polyetheretherketone shows low level of ionic contamination, low smoke and low toxic gas emissions. Reinforcing with glass/ carbon fiber can enhance its mechanical and thermal properties. It can be processed using injection molding. Suitable for wide spectrum of applications where thermal, chemical, and combustion properties are critical to performance. Applications include aircraft & aerospace technology, oil & gas industry, chemical plant engineering, semiconductor technology, food engineering, medical technology, automotive industry, process engineering and mechanical engineering.
