TECATOR 5031 PVX

TECATOR 5031 PVX is a polyamide-imide (PAI) containing graphite and PTFE. Is very rigid and thermally resilient from the cryogenic range up to 270 °C. Possesses high fatigue and mechanical strength, low coefficient of friction, reduced thermal expansion, excellent stiffness and dimensional stability. Provides long-term stability and easy processability along with good sliding properties. Exhibits high impact-, creep-, abrasion and radiation resistance. Thermal resistance under load and toughness is higher than that of PEEK and components made using TECATOR 5013 are lighter as compared to metallic components. Shows resistance towards conventional solvents, lubricants and fuels and different acids. Is self-extinguishing according to UL 94 V-0. Is processed by injection molding and finds application in automobile construction, aerospace, electronics/semi-conductor technology, mechanical and electrical engineering, tribological applications, cryogenics, precision engineering, medical technology and vacuum technology. Can be used for the fabrication of switches and plug components, insulating parts, plain bearing bushes and discs, piston rings, valve seats, ball bearings and valve balls or slide rails and rollers.
