RESOMER® X 206 S

RESOMER® X 206 S by Evonik is a biodegradable, polydioxanone (PDS). It possesses low residual monomer content as well as excellent mechanical properties. This grade offers an effective custom synthesis service tailored to individual product requirements. Also, offers enhanced flexibility due to the presence of an ether oxygen within the backbone of the polymer chain. For the production of sutures, RESOMER® X 206 S is generally extruded into fibers at the lowest possible temperature, in order to avoid its spontaneous de-polymerization back to the monomer.
