10% CAR

10% CAR by Fluorseals is a polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) grade, containing 90% virgin PTFE and 10% carbon coke. Exhibits excellent compression- , wear- and aging resistance, good thermal conductivity, low permeability and improved coefficient of thermal expansion when combined with ceramic. Is an electrically insulating and non-inflammable grade, offering biocompatibility, low resistance to radiations (gamma rays), good aging stability, weatherability and heat insulation. 10% CAR is recommended for seal applications such as piston rings for dry compressors, bearings and grooved mechanical support.
