Formolene® 5140H

Formolene® 5140H is a Polypropylene (PP) homopolymer grade containing a unique combination of stabilizers and additives, including nucleators and antistats. Provides excellent balance of stiffness and impact strength. Offers advantages in processing i.e. fast cycle time and easy mold release and physical properties over traditional PP used for compression molding applications. Designed for compression molding process and suggested applications include caps and closures. Formolene® 5140H meets the requirements of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration as specified in 21 CFR177.1520, covering safe use of polyolefin articles and components of articles intended for direct food contact. Also meets the requirements for materials & articles intended to come into contact with food as specified by Directives EC/2023/2006, EC/1935/2004, EU/10/2011 and EU/1183/2012 and is UL certified. This grade is free from animal-derived content.
