KPLAST™ 8143 by Kane International is a tough, aromatic thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) grade. Is an alcohol (ETOH) dilutable and acetate (ETAC) soluble grade, offering very good resistance to chemicals, oils, fats and water. Exhibits very good adhesion to polyolefin films, good gloss and compatibility with nitrocellulose, polyvinyl butyral (PVB), ketone and maleic resins. KPLAST™ 8143 can be used alone and in conjunction with other softer TPU’s and monomeric plasticizers. Designed to act as an adhesion promoter, mainly in nitrocellulose based gravure inks for flexible packaging. Complies with REACH and F.D.A. regulations, Chapter 21, Section 175-105.
