KURARAY POVAL™ 20-98 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, fully saponified grade of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is suitable as emulsion polymerization aid to binder for pigments in paper applications.

It exhibits excellent film forming characteristics like high cohesion & toughness, low electrostatic charging and re-dissolving capacity of the dried film in water.
It possesses high tensile strength and elasticity, as well as resistance against organic solvents and dispersing power.
A binder in textile size is based on its good penetration capacity and good adhesion properties on all types of fibrous material.
KURARAY POVAL™ 20-98 has a shelf life of 12 months.
