KURARAY POVAL™ 8-88 LA by Kuraray is a water soluble, low ash polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) by Kuraray. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It influences the rheology of polymer emulsions including particle size distribution, viscosity, stability to stirring, freeze/ thaw stability, pigment compatibility and electrolyte stability. Applicable as a protective colloid and emulsion polymerization aid. Also used as a binder in sizes due to its good penetration capacity, cohesion and good adhesion to fibers, fillers and pigments. KURARAY POVAL™ 8-88 LA has a shelf life of 12 months.
