LATAN 13 K/30 is a polyoxymethylene (POM) copolymer based compound reinforced with 30% carbon fibers. Is a medium viscosity resin grade where comonomer units are causally added in repetitive blocks of trioxan. Possesses good thermal stability, stiffness, toughness, very good self-lubricating-, tribological- and mechanical-properties. Exhibits low moisture absorption, good inertness, good chemical- , wear-, oxidation- and hydrolysis-resistance. Is suitable for processing by injection molding. Parts made from 13 K/30 is suitable for applications in hot water up to 80-90°C. Can be used in gears, cams, bushings and in various parts like electromechanical, hydraulic, automotive and other sectors.
