Lucite® Diakon® CMH454 by Lucite is a clear and odorless Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) grade with high molecular weight. Possesses good dimensional stability, low water absorption and is easy to recycle. Shows high surface hardness and scratch resistance, similar to aluminium. Provides good rigidity, high optical quality, good UV resistance and high surface gloss. Exhibits good abrasion resistance, excellent weatherability and processability. Articles made from Lucite® Diakon® CMH454 are resistant, at temperatures up to 60°C, to dilute acids and most alkali solutions and at room temperature, to aqueous solutions of inorganic salts, aliphatic hydrocarbons, fats and oils and most of the common gases. Suitable for processing by injection molding and extrusion. Used for extruded sheet and applications such as lighting, automotive rear lights, cosmetics packaging, optical lenses and medical diagnostic devices.
