ALKOX® EP-20

ALKOX® EP-20 by Meisei Chemical Works is a high molecular weight, water soluble random copolymer of ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. Shows more compatibility with other resins & organic solvents and improves the solubility in organic solvents. Exhibits medium viscosity, low moisture absorbency, good fluidity at room temperature and thermoplasticity. Provides flexibility and adhesive property with low crystallinity. Offers reduced flow resistance, tackiness when wet and easy release when dried. It maintains water solubility even if combined with other chemicals. Moreover, it has a function of coagulating sedimentation for suspension of clay, silica and others. ALKOX® EP-20 is suitable for processing by heat rolling, extrusion and casting. Possible applications include resin kneading, film forming and as a binder.
