Nylatron® MD

Nylatron® MD by Quadrant is a polyamide 6 (PA 6) grade containing a metal detectable additive. The grade shows metal and visual detection by blue color and detection by X-ray is also possible. Provides good mechanical strength, good stiffness, good impact strength, good wear resistance, good fatigue resistance, lower moisture absorption than standard PA6 and continuous use temperature up to 185 °F. Used in the food processing and packaging industries like in thrust washers, seals and rolls, where it can easily be traced by the conventional metal detection systems installed to detect contamination of the foodstuffs. Nylatron® MD complies with FDA and 3A-Sanitary-Dairy Standards.
