XANTAR® C CF 407

XANTAR® C CF 407 by Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics is an alloy of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) resin containing release agent. It is a 100% chlorine-free and bromine-free, self-extinguishing flame retardant grade with low plasticizing effect. Exhibits 10-15°C higher vicat softening temperature compared to conventional FR PC/ABS grades, low smoke density & toxicity and increased heat distortion temperatures or more robust mechanical performance. Offers minimized juicing, pollution of processing equipment and processing with high output & high quality performance. It is clean & brightly colored. It has excellent toughness, high purity and improved stability. Other properties include design freedom (double curved surfaces possible), easier filling of complex parts, low volatiles level & reduced fogging tendency, better long-term property retention and improved color consistency and appearance. It is a light weight solution with excellent sound damping properties and modular assembly for quick installation & turn-around times. Suitable for processing by injection molding. XANTAR® C CF 407 by Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics is recommended for high-impact sheet, facilitating vandal-proof solutions. Used in interior cladding of public transportation including aviation, train, metro, tram and bus. Complies with 'Blue Angel' & 'WEEE' directives, railway specifications for fire & toxicity (according to DIN 5510/NF-F 16-101) and UL flammability regulations.
