POLYTONE PA 302 by Polyols & Polymers is a polymeric fatty acid based, non-reactive polyamide (PA) co-solvent grade. Provides good glossy sharp prints and excellent resistance to grease & water. Exhibits good flexibility, very good solvent release properties and excellent adhesion to treated polyethylene & other plastics. Is soluble in n-butanol, n-propanol, cellosolve and mixtures of toluene & xylene, partially soluble in iso-propanol and insoluble in ethanol, aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons. Forms reversible gels on standing. Offers compatibility with ketonic, maleic, reduced phenolic & pure phenolic resins and partial compatibility with alkyds. POLYTONE PA 302 is used in flexographic and gravure printing inks.
