KyronMAX® S-2230

KyronMAX® S-2230 by Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials is a lightweight, user friendly, nylon-based structural compound with low density. It incorporates short carbon fiber technology. It exhibits high physical strength, ductility, heat resistance, high wear resistance, chemical resistance of hydrocarbons and low coefficient of friction. When molded, parts are 75% lighter than steel and almost 40% lighter than aluminum. It is the strongest moldable polymer available for metal replacement. This grade realizes lower costs & lighter parts and provides unmatched tensile & toughness properties. It is processed by injection molding. KyronMAX® S-2230 is used in automotive-bushings, washers, pistons, brackets, handles, aerospace-latches, rings, hinges, spacers, seals, adapters and electrical-pins, fasteners, end effectors, connectors, panels. Also, used in medical-clamps, vanes, housings, bushings, gears, valves, energy-seals, bearings, plugs, umbilical’s, back-up rings and industrial-valve plates, column packing, gears, valve seats.
