EMI 863 is an electrically conductive polyacetal, polyoxymethylene [POM] grade reinforced with 20% stainless steel fiber. Enables rigidity as well as resilience and resistance to creep, fatigue & solvents. Possesses low coefficient of friction, remains stable in high temperature service & offers exceptional resistance to hot water environments. It remains unaffected by strong bases but is attacked by strong mineral acids. Is suitable for processing by injection molding. Used in instrument housings, electronic parts handling totes, fittings & components for fuel dispensers, conveyor rollers. Also used in automotive applications such as electronic enclosures, auto sensing systems, fuel system connectors, filler necks, fuel valves etc. Has EMI/RFI/ESD protection.
