EXTEM™ Resin UH1006

EXTEM™ Resin UH1006 is a high heat, amorphous, halogen-free, flame-retardant thermoplastic polyimide (TPI) blend. Provides high strength, stiffness, creep performance up to 230 °C, good dimensional stability and easy processability. Offers high continuous use temperature (CUT), shows outstanding thermal resistance up to 311°C, ignition resistance and excellent chemical resistance. Exhibits best-in-class FR (UL V-0 at 0.4mm), OSU rates and LOI (Limiting Oxygen Index). Retains strength and resists stress cracking when exposed to automotive and aircraft fluids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, acids as well as chlorinated solvents such as methylene chloride. Eliminates the draw-backs of semi-crystalline materials, imidized thermosets, and competitive amorphous thermoplastics which can require post-molding curing or crystallization. Processed by injection molding. RoHS compliant and halogen free according to VDE/DIN 472 part 815.
