ULTEM™ resin HU1004 (Americas)

ULTEM™ resin HU1004 (Americas) by SABIC is an amorphous, PFAS-free, high temperature, transparent, biocompatible, flame-retarded polyetherimide blend with improved ductility and enhanced hydrostability. It offers steam-, gamma-, EtO, and E-beam sterilization. It provides hydrolytic stability, chemical resistance, low smoke and toxicity.

• It imparts good mechanical properties in broad temperature range.
• It exhibits low creep sensitivity, low shrinkage, good metal adhesion, high strength, high heat resistance and good dimensional stability.
• It is designed for pharmaceutical packaging, drug delivery, surgical devices, general healthcare and patient testing.
• ULTEM™ resin HU1004 (Americas) is processed by injection molding.
• The grade is biocompatible (ISO 10993 or USP Class VI) and healthcare management of change applies.
