ULTEM™ resin 1010AR by SABIC is an unreinforced, general purpose, amorphous, flame retardant, metallizable polyetherimide (PEI) resin. It offers easy flow, internal mold release, good chemical-, radiation (gamma, x-ray), UV-C-, and high heat resistance. It is suitable for processing by additive manufacturing, injection compression molding, extrusion blow molding, film-, foam & profile extrusion, compounding and injection molding. Exhibits excellent electrical properties, high electric breakdown strength (BDS), high stiffness, hydrolytic stability, easy flow, low smoke & toxicity and good mechanicals in broad temperature range. Provides low creep sensitivity, low shrinkage, good metal adhesion, high strength and good dimensional stability. ULTEM™ resin 1010AR is used in aircraft interiors, defence, fossil, mass transportation (electric vehicle, heavy truck, bus) automotive interiors & exteriors, electrical devices & displays, consumer packaging, lighting, energy storage, home & commercial appliances, electrical components and infrastructure, industrial & electronic material handling, composite, hydrocarbon and energy. It is RoHS compliant.
