ULTEM™ resin 4001 (Americas) by SABIC is an amorphous, flame retardant polyetherimide (PEI) resin reinforced with PTFE. Provides low creep sensitivity, low shrinkage, good metal adhesion, high strength, and good mold release. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. Offers good mechanical properties in a broad temperature range, high stiffness, hydrolytic stability, good dimensional stability, low smoke and toxicity. It shows chemical-, wear-, and high heat resistance. ULTEM™ resin 4001 (Americas) is used in electrical devices & displays, beverage, personal accessory & recreation, home & commercial appliances, electronic material handling, electrical components, and infrastructure. It is UL94 V-0 & V-A flame rated and ECO conforming.
