ULTEM™ resin SF2250EPR

ULTEM™ resin SF2250EPR by SABIC is a flame retardant, 20% glass fiber filled, amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) blend. Exhibits super high flow, good internal mold release and ductility. Possesses high stiffness, hydrolytic stability, low smoke & toxicity and good mechanical properties in broad temperature range. It is suitable for processing by injection molding. It shows good chemical resistance, low creep sensitivity, low shrinkage, good metal adhesion and high heat resistance. It can withstand high-heat burn-in tests up to 150°C, thus designed for molding burn-in test sockets (BiTS) used to stress-test integrated circuit (IC) chips. It can also potentially be used to mold thin-wall, high-precision and miniaturized connectors. Offers toughness, high strength and dimensional stability. It can be a great alternative to incumbent materials such as glass fiber-reinforced liquid crystal polymers (LCPs) and polyethersulfone (PES) resins. It provides greater weld line strength, lower density and lower moisture absorption than PES resins. Recommended for electrical devices, displays & components, electrical infrastructure and electronic material handling. ULTEM™ resin SF2250EPR conforms to ECO rating and is UL94 V-0 listed.
