SELVOL™ 325 by Sekisui Chemical is an off-white colored, fully hydrolyzed polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) grade. It is manufactured from vinyl acetate monomer (VAM) via a multistep process. Exhibits high tensile strength, ease of film formation, excellent adhesive and bonding characteristics. Offers solubility in hot water and excellent stability to sunlight. Provides resistance to greases, petroleum hydrocarbons, solvents, animal and vegetable oils. Recommended for spun sizing and hand building in textiles. Suitable for adhesive applications like envelope, tube winding, book binding, padding, solid fiber lamination and cup. Also used for cigarette fiber, carton, case sealing, surface, sizing and pigment coating. Other applications include casting papers, flourchemical carrier, release & grease resistant papers, inkjet and creping. SELVOL™ 325 is designed for speciality films, molded products and nonwovens.
