Chromodyn™ SVP-651

Chromodyn™ SVP-651 by Shakespeare is a linear polyamide terpolymer with unique solubility characteristics and physical properties. It has broad acceptance for solution coating/bonding of thread. It is compatible with other nylons and ideal nylon carrier resins for color & functional additives requiring excellent dispersion and high loading. It offers improved adhesion to glass and metal surfaces. Because of its low molecular weight, the solution viscosity of Chromodyn™ SVP-651 resin is lower than comparable nylon terpolymers. It shows less sensitivity towards variances in process temperatures. The lower solution viscosity penetrates the thread bundle more readily and results in stronger bonding. It is soluble in anhydrous methanol, n-propanol and in presence of water with ethanol, isopropanol & n-butanol. It can be applied by solution coating techniques. It is suitable for pigment carrier, polymer additives and thread bonding.
