Bionolle Starcla™ 10S

Bionolle Starcla™ 10S by Resonac (formerly Showa Denko) is a bio-based environmentally friendly material which is completely biodegradable. Has 40% of bio based content. Bionolle Starcla™ is a hybrid compound of Bionolle™, starch and PLA. It becomes biodegradable in compost, wet soil, fresh water, seawater and activated sludge where microorganisms are present. It will decompose completely into water, carbon dioxide, and is therefore called "Eco friendly material". Can be used for various purposes instead of polyethylene products because the balance of mechanical properties is better than conventional polyethylene products. Bionolle Starcla™ enables production of an extremely thin film of 8µm and has excellent printability. Possesses fast biodegradation, mechanical property same as LLDPE, low rigidity and high impact as well as tear strength. Due to its biodegradable nature, Bionolle Starcla™ is the ideal resin for use in mulching films and compost bags.
