Kalix® 2955 WH 000

Kalix® 2955 WH 000 is a high performance polyamide 6-10 grade reinforced with 55% glass fiber. Contains monomers from the sebacic acid chain derived from non-food competing and GMO-free (genetically modified organism) castor oil. Is suitable for injection molding application. Consists of 27% renewable content, according to the ASTM D6866 test method for determining bio-based carbon content. Is a paintable and platable grade. Exhibits fast molding cycle, dimensional stability, good impact resistance, high stiffness, high strength, good surface finish, high flow and hot water moldability. Possesses lower warpage compared to Kalix® 2855 grade. Shows improved chemical resistance as compared to traditional polycarbonate (PC) and PC/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) materials. Provides low viscosity and excellent flow properties which is ideal for filling parts with thin-walled sections. Allows close tolerance molding as the formulation helps warpage issues associated with the anisotropic shrinkage of glass fiber reinforced materials. Recommended for mobile electronics industry like cell phones, electrical parts, electrical and electronic applications.
