Kalix® 5950 WH 000 HFFR

Technical Datasheet | Supplied by Solvay
Kalix® 5950 WH 000 HFFR is a halogen-free, flame retardant (UL-94 V0 at 0.4 mm) polyamide grade reinforced with 50% glass fiber. Is suitable for injection molding application. Is a paintable and platable grade. Exhibits good dimensional stability, good impact resistance, good surface finish, high stiffness, high strength, low moisture absorption and low warpage. Provides low viscosity and excellent flow properties which is ideal for filling parts with thin-walled sections. Provides greater mechanical properties than competing HFFR polyamides and serves as an alternative to metals. Possesses the highest gloss and lowest surface roughness. Allows close tolerance molding as the formulation helps warpage issues associated with the anisotropic shrinkage of glass fiber reinforced materials. Recommended for mobile electronics industry like cell phones, electrical parts, electrical and electronic applications. Complies with RoHS.
