Radel® R-5500

Radel® R-5500 by Syensqo is a general purpose, flame retardant polyphenylsulfone (PPSU) grade. It is an autoclavable, radiotranslucent and biocompatible grade.
    Offers good resistance to acids, bases, gamma radiation, chemical, heat, environmental stress crack and steam.
  • Exhibits good electrical properties, E-beam-, ethylene oxide-, heat- and steam sterilizability.
  • Also exhibits good thermal- & hydrolytic stability and ultra-high toughness.
  • Recommended applications include aircraft & aerospace, dental- & healthcare applications such as membranes, surgical instruments and food contact applications.
  • Radel® R-5500 is suitable for processing by blow molding, machining, sheet-, film & profile extrusion and thermoforming.
  • It complies with the ISO 10993, RoHS, and ASTM D6394 SP0312 regulations.
