Xydar® MG-850 LCP

Xydar® MG-850 LCP is a flame retardant, liquid crystal polymer (LCP) grade reinforced with 50% glass/mineral fiber. Possesses high flow, flatness, good dimensional stability, outstanding strength at extreme temperatures up to 300°C, tighter tolerances and lower warpage compared to standard LCP material. Exhibits transparency to microwave radiation, chemical resistance and corrosion resistance. The low moisture absorption facilitates improved IR reflow performance up to 260°C. Is suitable for processing by injection molding into thin-wall components. Used in 12-gigabyte connectors that target applications in desktop, laptop computers as well as tablets, offering surface mount compatibility to next-generation USB 3.0.
