8473 by Total Refining and Chemicals is a high ethylene random copolymer polypropylene (PP) film grade with improved color, optics and impact properties. It is available with custom slip and antiblock packages. The very low melting point makes it an excellent heat seal layer for oriented films. Is suitable for processing by extrusion- and injection molding. 8473 is recommended for use in non-oriented film processes for manufacture of packaging films that require improved optical and impact properties and as a heat seal layer for oriented films. Applications include disposable, staple fibers, coating non food packaging, spunlaid nonwovens, consumer packaging<5L, compounds and masterbatches, media and jewel boxes, health and personal care, geosynthetics and technical textiles, containers and housewares. Is a FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 compliant grade.
