CX5243 is a very high flow and high heat crystal polystyrene (PS) grade. The very low viscosity of this grade combined with its high heat resistance makes it particularly suitable for the production of extrusion foam board (XPS) with blowing agents such as Co2 and HFC. Ideal for use as a masterbatch carrier. Applications include insulation foam board, masterbatch carrier, modifier for thermoplastic elastomers and rubbers. Is a FDA 21 CFR § 177.1640 and USP Class VI compliant grade.
