Vinnolit® P 5078 by Westlake Vinnolit is a fine-particle, paste-making PVC emulsion homopolymer giving medium-viscosity plastisols. Exhibits very low fogging values. It has a low tendency to stick during contact on gelling cylinders. Provides improved adhesion to polyester and polyamide fiber material. Offers good mechanical foamability with surfactant-based or silicone-based foaming aids. Distinguished by matt surfaces of finished products. Pastes with a medium plasticizer content are nearly Newtonian over the entire shear range. It can be applied by all the usual procedures. Main applications of Vinnolit® P 5078 include PVC pastes for compact and metal coatings in the production of flooring, leathercloth cap closures, and compact vinyl wall coverings. Registered with ECL (Existing Chemicals List), ENCS (Handbook of Existing and New Chemical Substances), AICS (Australian Inventory of Chemical Substances), IECSC (Inventory of Existing Chemical Substances in China), DSL (Domestic Substance List), PICCS (Philippine Inventory of Chemicals and Chemical Substances), TSCA (Toxic Substance Control Act Chemical Substance Inventory) and REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006).
