Ethylene Vinyl Acetate

  • Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate.
  • It is an extremely elastic and transparent material.
  • It is produced under high temperature and high pressure.
  • It offers good gloss, low-temperature toughness, good chemical resistance, high friction coefficient, and resistance to UV radiation.
  • When compared to LDPE, EVA is softer, clearer and offers better environmental stress cracking.
  • Ethylene Vinyl Acetate can be processed by  extrusion, injection, blow molding, calendaring and rotational molding.
  • With a combination of flexibility and good processing characteristics, EVA has been able to replace rubber and vinyl products in many electrical applications.
  • Surgical supplies, footwear, toys, extruded sheets, tubings are some other applications of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate.
