PolyphenylsulfonePolyphenylsulfone (PPSU) is a transparent and rigid high-temperature engineering thermoplastic and belongs to polysulfone family. It mainly consists of phenyl (aromatic) rings linked by sulfone (SO2) groups.

Polyphenylsulfone has a glass transition temperature of 288°C and a heat-deflection temperature of 274°C.

The continuous-use temperature has been suggested to be 260°C. In these high temperature properties, polyphenylsulfone is superior to other polysulfones such as standard polysulfone, polyethersulfone, or polyarylsulfone.

PPSU is intrinsically flame retardant, shows high impact strength and good chemical resistance.
