Eastalite™ copolyester is a foamed copolyester resin, a sustainable alternative to high-impact polystyrene (HIPS) in the opaque rigid medical packaging market. Offers advantages in many applications where lightweight and other sustainable attributes are part of the fitness-for-use requirements. When extruded into sheet, Eastalite™ can save processing and inspection time, reduce waste and cleaning, and ultimately lower processing costs when compared with HIPS. Major Applications include: thermoformed pharmaceutical packaging, medical kits, work-in-process trays and mounting cards.
