Plastics supplied by Celanese

FORTRON® polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) by Celanese is a high-temperature thermoplastic material that offers an excellent combination of thermal, mechanical and chemical resistance properties. They find use in automotive under-the-hood, consumer goods, aerospace, food & beverage industry, medical, industrial, oil and gas applications.

Key properties of FORTRON® brand include:

  • Service temperatures up to 240°C
  • Very good resistance to chemicals and solvents
  • Inherent flame resistant (UL 94 V-0, some grades 5VA)
  • Very low moisture absorption
  • Suitable for lead-free soldering
  • Excellent creep resistance even at elevated temperatures
