Overall, to start with there is constant market driven electronic device development.Evolution of microcontroller and sensor technology is allowing OEMs to create complex systems that can provide levels of vehicle control and safety unheard of ten years ago. As a result, automotive electronics is growing at a faster rate than the automotive industry. Total world market for OEM automotive electronics is forecast to increase from $27.6 billion in 2006 to $44.8 billion in 2015. Powertrain is forecast to be the largest automotive electronics sector throughout the period to 2015, but driver assistance is projected to have the highest growth rate. In North America, the two biggest trends in automotive electronics, wireless connectivity, and in-car entertainment are merging to make vehicles into infotainment centers.In North America, demand for light vehicle OEM and aftermarket entertainment system parts and components is projected to increase at an annual rate of 6.3%, reaching $9.6 billion by 2008.
