Cost-effective disposable inhaler

SpecialChem / Aug 17, 2007

The UK firm Cambridge Consultants has developed a disposable inhaler that will be commercialized under the trade name Conix One™. This new single-piece device is produced using injection molding. It could be used for mass vaccination against chronic diseases and pandemics such as aviary influenza. According to the firm, its new product delivers the performance expected of high-end inhalers at a lower cost than a syringe. It does not contain any moving part nor any propellant. Furthermore Conix One will cost just four cents to be manufactured in large quantities.
