High-Heat Films Address Hybrid Car Safety Issues

Advanced, heat resistant plastic materials are playing a key role in the emergence of hybrid automobiles. These vehicles can save energy and reduce pollution by running on both gasoline and electric power. While prototype hybrid autos have been exhibited at trade shows, their progress has been slowed by concerns about the safety of the lithium-ion batteries that store electric power in these vehicles.
